Mills 446 Posted January 8, 2013 Share Posted January 8, 2013 It came to my mind that the only route for X-Tina to attain commercial/moderate success is making jazz, soul, or blues a la Back to Basics and the Burlesque soundtrack. I find it funny that the general public has reacted positively to those 2 efforts but completely ignored the 2 others (Lotus & Bionic). Back To Basics sold 1.7 million in the US in 2006 (not the best #'s considering what other albums released in the same year were selling, but decent enough) and Burlesque sold 620K in the US (it sold LESS than Lotus and Bionic first week and debuted outside the Top 10 and it outsold it in the US). Agreed. Christina got one of the best voices of all time. It's only best for her to use it, instead of her trying to compete in today's generation of pop stars. I'd love if she will come up with an acoustic-like album with GRAMMY-worthy ballads. I love how PokerFist doesn't hate on any artist She just goes with the flow Thanks... but if there's one artist/group of artists I dislike, it'd probably be LMFAO.
