they supported a song people that was considered Satanic, an electronic-jazz song, a country-rock ballad, and a hook deprived song with unrelatable lyrics. Their support was shown with their respective radio peaks. If radio didn't support them, they wouldn't be able to crack the top 20. So if radio will support those songs, they will surely support catchy material.

Anything that cracks the top 20 on Pop Radio has "support" IMO

I can smell C'mon flopping. I just can.

Yeah, it's looking really bad already. Most of us seemed to predict this based on the song alone.

I seriously thought C'mon would be a hit. It's current iTunes position after a TV performance and Top 30 on radio changed my mind. It should at least be in the Top 200

Exactly, and every single from BTW didn't just barely "crack" the Top 20. They were well in there :coffee:

Plenty of examples of American acts that are able to tour the whole world despite the lack of international chart success. Doesn't work the other way though.

Kylie Minogue woulod beg to differ. Her not being huge in US in no way prevents her from selling out arenas in every continent.

Americans dictate and control global pop culture and mainstream music.

Hollywood and New York do. Not Nashville.

I bet Gaga is bigger in LA and NY than Ms. Swift.
