IKYWT is already overplayed hahahah. I wish Red had been chosen as the next single...

Ugh I don't like any of her songs. And it's not like I'm even trying to go out there and be a Taylor hater. Although I don't like the fact how obviously pop she has gone, but still, her music and voice especially do absolutely nothing for me. I don't know why people buy into her music so much.

Taylor Swift dominating the charts... with 2.3 million albums sold and it's barely two months old.

As for C'Mon getting some radio love, hope it would eventually lead for Ke$ha to extend her string of top 10 hits.

As if, Kesha will be irrelevant before she can break that record at the rate she's going.

She can barely sell 5 copies of her record.

She can actually connect with the public, something Gaga used to master in 2009 and 2010.

Taylor doesn't connect with a broad public either, but she has a solid fanbase,

Teen girls in red states. Too conventional or conservative to be into Gaga. Entire consciousness focused on relationships with boys.

IKYWT is for once a great song from here. Better dance song than Diamonds.

Taylor Swift has the immense support of the GP with her innocent, conformist image and through the years she has built a strong core fanbase who'd actually purchase albums. If anything, Taylor Swift could be compared to Katy Perry, only she's a conservative favourite and the current American sweetheart who, in the eyes of the public, could never do wrong. Not to mention, ever since the Kanye West VMA incident, she has been the golden girl of the music industry, well at least in the US. She has yet to solidify a worldwide following for her to be truly compared to the current big three - Gaga, Rihanna, and Katy Perry.

I'm still wondering whether her blatant embrace to pop music would either alienate her core country fanbase or broaden her reach with the pop music-loving public. She seems to satisfy both based on the chart performances of her album, Red. But will that still happen in her next album? I've my doubts.

Katy Perry isn't that big outside of the US tbh.

I do agree that Katy Perry isn't that big worldwide as she's in the US, relatively compared to Gaga and Rihanna. But she's not that far behind either. Katy Perry has 8 #1 hits in New Zealand, 3 #1 hits in the UK (and for argument's sake, Gaga has 4 #1s in the UK), 8 #1 singles in Canada, 3 #1 singles in Ireland, 2 #1 hits in Germany. Teenage Dream has established her as a bona fide worldwide pop star.

What about Asia? Katy and Rihanna could never pull the same numbers Gaga has been able to pull off there.

Agreed. That's why I put Gaga first among the current big three of pop music today. Gaga IS the world's biggest pop superstar. She's even named as the Most Famous Celebrity on Earth by Guinness World Records this year, was crowned as the Most Powerful Celebrity by FORBES, hailed as the Queen of Pop by RollingStone, and was included among the world's most influential people in the world by TIME. All of these recognitions from reputable media organizations say a lot. Gaga's success even transcends music with her activism, philanthropic efforts, her status within the fashion industry as a CFDA Icon awardee and the list goes on and on.

Rihanna comes in second, and Katy Perry in third.

I can't stand Taylor Swift; she's the ultimate face of American bigotry. I bet my fortune that her relationship with Harry is an act to extend her reach in the UK and other countries. It's disgusting

I actually enjoy listening to Taylor Swift. Anyway, I'm really hoping she could add a HOT 100 chart topper to her belt sometime soon, hopefully it would be IKYWT. :excited2:
