Gerrard174 695
Couldn't agree more. Hair is actually one of the most radio-friendly tracks from BTW, regardless if it's overproduced or not. If anything, it has the potential to be BTW 2.0. Agreed. It definitely is. It has the same theme, and same overproduction It will do well, like You and I. Hair has been played so many time in various performance places. Many people already heard that melody before, and GP will be more receptive to it. anyway, no point to discuss this all over again since BTW has ended. tbh, while losing quite some GP support, i think Gaga gained more loyal fans during BTW. This will do good for her in the long run. and in 5 years time people will look back at BTW era and regretted that they called it a flop era because that era is a brilliant strategic planning (though it didn't pay off as well as it could be). nick4bty 2,758
I agree, Hair should have been a single. How was it not? The first time I heard it, I thought "made for radio." Simple, relatable lyrics, continuing the theme of acceptance, perfect radio-friendly melody, catchy, strong vocals - okay, seriously, what was Interscope thinking not making this a single???? It would have been so perfect around the holidays, instead of MTN. Huge mistake imo. No Doubt is back in the studio working on new material. Hopefully comeback 2.0 slays! Why does Gwen look like she's 25? :laughga:
Math 92
Gwen should have kept No Doubt in the past
Americano 31,061
Hair wouldn't have saved anything. I would've rather Gaga flopped with something like 'HML' than have a hit with that embarrassing, tacky piece of garbage that sounds like it was written by Katy Perry and produced by school children. It will do well, like You and I. Hair has been played so many time in various performance places. Many people already heard that melody before, and GP will be more receptive to it People heard it and didn't buy it, which is a bigger issue. It was on during the Thanksgiving Special and actually fell on iTunes after, instead of rising like TEOG/Y&I/etc.
Mariano 958
The Edge Of Glory didn't rise the second week it rise when they made it a single.. Hair is better choice than Marry The Night and I can't understand why so many of you hate it :X It is really one of the best songs on the album. It isn't over produced, the production is meant to be that way...
jhonyguy04 3
I think Hair would have flopped harder than MTN. Thank u!!!

Klou 2,414
No. Hair is the most radio-friendly song and even Billboard acknowledged that and said that Hair should've been a single. That's because her album is one week from releasing and there are so many Gaga songs on itunes - BTW, judas, TEOG The 'Complete My Album' option doesn't give anyone a reason to wait to buy the album for the song. Gerrard174 695
The 'Complete My Album' option doesn't give anyone a reason to wait to buy the album for the song. it is when you're planning to buy the physical one. and i can't believe you guys doubted that Hair is supposed to be a single. It is supposed to be a single and i can bet on that. Interscope won't forego that chance. most probably because Gaga doesn't want it and prefer MTN (her favourite song) over it
Americano 31,061
Judas was also supposed to be a single. Interscope doesn't always know what's best.
Star 4,409
I heard that when you buy new release album, the lead single goes on decreasing sales for a week. is that true?

It was pretty easy for anyone to see that Hair had a very mixed reaction, so was a smart move for Interscope to not release it as a single.

WarriorPrince 1
Excuse me, but Hair would not flop. Teens would buy that song on iTunes as if it was candy, not to talk about how radio friendly it is.
