I think some songs will have similarities in terms of funky synthwave beats, but since Chromatica is all about colours I imagine there is a vast array of different sounds/topics. As much as I like SL  and it’s really grown on me I hope the rest of the album has more lyrical content, which Im sure it will since Gaga quoted that line of a song on the album.

Ah, all the memories... Though I think this era will be a 1000x more positive than ARTPOP. Not that that one was negative, but y'know, she went through a lot... But yeah, seeing another full-on pop era of hers unraveling was definitely surreal at first. Now I feel like she never left. Can't wait for whatever's next!

I disagree about BTW and Applause not being indicative of their albums. I think both of them are pretty good representations of what their albums sound like, especially BTW. PI, on the other hand, is certainly very different from anything on Joanne.

In terms of SL and Chromatica though, I do think that this is an instance of the lead sounding similar to everything else on the album. I think that SL will be one of the more commercial songs, but I do think the rest of the album will be commercial as well. You guys have to remember, Gaga said in her interview with Zane Lowe that her goal for this album was to create something “a big chunk of the world will listen to”. That inherently means that she wants to make a more commercial album.

That said, I do think that overall it’ll have very dance pop with 80s and techno influences, and I’m so excited to hear that from her! I’ve wanted that particular sound from her for a long time!
