Well a lot of e girls pretend they like Nirvana just to be edgy.. I'm usually not very hard to please when it comes to music and I tried listening to this but it's just noise

just cause you don't like something it doesn't mean its noise

I don't get her music :oprah:

I respect her as an artist, as I respect every artist, but I don't get her music, I mean, WTF are those awful sounds in L.O.V.E? :air:

Personally, no thank you. I think it’s cool, and maybe I’ll like that style eventually, but right now I’m much more of a “Stupid Love” type of person :laughga:

Okay can you please explain the first sound that comes up in this song and that is pretty straight forward during the whole song actually:

I can't find another explanation except for noise aka ''a sound, especially one that is loud or unpleasant or that causes disturbance.''

What is this? It sounds like when you let go of an inflated balloon and it flies around the room slowly deflating. How is this music?

It also drove my cats bonkers too.

ok i'll admit that one may sound likenoise lol I feel like these kinds of songs of hers might mean to be ironic but she has plenty of songs that don't deserve to be called noise

I love pretending it's so soothing

Honestly want to know what is the answer:

There are some people who are more interested in interesting sound designs than melodies or music theory, it's just simple as that. Lmao if you think Sophie is weird, don't start looking into the deconstructed club genre (i hate that term tho), Sophie is just the tip of the iceberg, there are far more "innovative" artists out there.. But of course for gays who are mentally stuck in the pop music landscrape, Sophie may come across as the weirdest thing to them . It's just an aggressive, frantic, post-industrial sound design featuring metallic or staccato sounds such as samples of glass smashing, gunshots, etc., deconstructed club aims for an excessive, apocalyptic-sounding soundscape, with constant rhythmic switch-ups and atonality. Thematically, it is common to address politics such as race relations, feminism, queer identity and colonialism, as many of the developments of this sound and its associated nightlife come from marginalized communities. These topics are not always present, since some deconstructed club artists prefer to engage with futurism and technology conceptually.

This is amazing, reminds me of "Cyclo - id"

I think if you want to make stuff like this , you should learn Granular synthesis, it takes years of practice but it's really worth it, if you want to go further in sound design.
