After a while, it stopped, though, I think it gets used to the same IP coming back and knows it's you. It would only let you know if it was literally one that had never been on the system. So, yeah, if a completely random person had logged in, Google would let me know. I remember I once typed in the wrong address slightly, it didn't sign me in and the "sign in to your Google account" words above the login info changed language to what looked like Korean or something! I realised I'd misspelled the address, re-typed it and it went back to English and accepted my password and signed me in. It never happened when I tried doing it again though, they must have updated their system. But now I know there must be a Korean user who's got near enough the same email as me!
