“We are the stronger campaign to defeat Donald Trump but you have not heard me say that I think that Biden cannot defeat Trump,” Sanders told reporters in Phoenix, Arizona, as he boarded a plane to campaign in Michigan.

The question for voters, he added, is “which campaign is best positioned to defeat” the president.

Too early to pick who could beat Trump. You could make arguments either way and the polls change everyday. Me personally? I dont think an establishment candidate is going to do it. Dems may repeat their 2016 mistakes.

And that's a good answer. It should be about the best strategy, candidate and campaign. I'm tired of the pettiness that the D party has fallen into. Eventually it'll be Bernie or Biden. But everyone is going to have to participate TOGETHER and take down Trump.

And if Super Tuesday is any indication of how turnout will be, the wave is not coming to f*ck around :ally:

Let's be frank here Biden barely got through the last few debates

Now if you want to put him against trump

I don't think it's a good call.

Bernie is as sharp as ever Biden has baggage similar to Hillary

Just sayin

Exactly. Winning in November, while not easy, is actually quite obtainable. I'm sick of the constant "if ____ is nominated you might as well give Trump the win" excuses. At least the candidates we have this time are likable unlike Hillary. And must I remind everyone that Trump only won by 64 thousand votes combined in WI, MI, and PA. All States that are usually Blue. I'm very intrigued to see what their turnout rates will be when the primaries come up.

And that is your opinion because you prefer Bernie, but voters have spoken and Biden got a record turnout of his main base while Bernie got less people to vote than he did in 2016.

Stop with the nonsense.

Biden did fine in the last few debates. Remember he does have a stuttering problem. Bernie has similar baggage. His support of Castro no matter how small wont play well in Florida for example.

It already hurt him, Biden has a 50% advantage over Bernie in Florida. AND BLOOMBERG IS ABOVE BERNIE....

If the DNC knew they could win with Bernie and no one else, they would choose to lose. A Bernie administration is an existential threat to them, while a second Trump term is just business as usual. They prefer Trump over Bernie 100%.

Thats without me looking at the polls. Its just common sense lol. Marketing yourself as Democratic Socialist (when you arent even advocating socialist policy) and going on about the good Castro did is just a recipe for disaster in the state.

He's not wrong....I know some folks on here don't want to hear that, tho.

Bernie's path is through the rust belt (WI, IA, OH, MI) and Biden's path is through NC, MI, PA and possibly FL (he's beaten Trump in several head to head polls in FL). Both of them can win. I wouldn't be surprised if AZ went blue, too. Mark Kelly is routinely beating McSally in the polls by a fairly decent margin....

Bad take. They would absolutely prefer Bernie to Trump. Bernie might not be ideal, but Trump shifts the overton window further to the right which would mean even less support among core Democratic voters (LGBT, Black, etc)
