Lion Heart 15,041
I read all 9 pages there. Not a single apology in there at all about his awful voting record. Just some BS about "gay marriage" and how McCain and Hillary opposed it. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

Being closeted isn't an excuse. Bet you anything he’s still Anti-Trans. Reminds me of Glenn Beck saying sorry to Black Lives Matters in 2016 and now four years later continue to spew his racist drivel
ctherainbow 3,162
It is rare that I will say this, but we don't want him in our community. A true open and honest apology would start with "I was a coward. I chose to hide in the closet and persecute our community while others in even more vulnerable places in their lives had the courage to live openly and fight, even when they risked their lives doing so." This just... ugh. I need to convene the Ruling Council and make sure he never gets issued his Gay Card. I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.
SKANK 14,288
A gay boy in a conservative religious community knows that if his loved ones find out who he really is, they will think him loathsome and cast him out. So he buries the secret deep inside himself, and while the secret festers away inside, it occasionally spills out in the form of hatred for those who don't feel the same need to hide who they are. This is a story we see over and over again. Aaron's fears came true, his family has rejected him. The community of brothers who should be sympathetic to his story are also rejecting him - and in petty ways. I hope he makes amends for his time in Washington. I hope his family comes around. I hope that with his coming out we are getting closer to a society that will end the cycle of self-loathing, hiding, and lashing out.
