SharkmanthaC 115,045
A powerful and deadly storm moving through Middle Tennessee spawned a tornado that touched down in Nashville in the early morning hours Tuesday morning, cutting a swath of destruction that stretched through the city for miles. Two people in East Nashville were killed in the storm, according to Nashville police. The extent of the storm's physical damage was jarring - even before the sun rose Tuesday morning - and forecasters said more storms could be on the way. https://www.tennessean.com/story/weather/2020/03/02/severe-storm-warning-tornado-hail-possible-weather-forecast-says-nashville-middle-tennessee/4934135002/?utm_source=AMP&utm_medium=UpNext This is just awful. I think the overall death toll is up to 5. I read in an article the fire department was responding to over 40 building collapses. There are many teachers in some of my Facebook teacher groups saying their entire school was destroyed. Overnight tornadoes can be so scary especially because people are sleeping and not prepared to take shelter. she/her/hers
