Lona Delery 7,214
Melon usually makes lots of points, as he did this time around. This is a pretty good review for Fantano standards Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

Fusel 1,109
why are some people on here so triggered? fantano has his opinions and unlike many of those corney reaction youtubers you stan he most of the time actually puts well-rounded critical thought into his reviews. he really is no villain, some people here just can’t deal with feeling hurt also him being straight is no valid point for you to disregard his opinion, just a reminder that your homosexuality doesn’t give you superior judgement
Cssomeone 1,646
To be honest, he is one of the only music critics I respect/follow. I may not agree 100% with him sometimes, however, I know he knows what he's saying. As I see it, his review for ARTPOP is the best I've ever read/watched, for instance. He praises Gaga (or any other artist) when she (they) deserve, but roasts her (them) when he has to. You may not agree with him or care about his opinion (maybe some people are just too narrow-minded and tend not to see the flaws in the artists they stan), but that doesn't chance the fact the he's entitled one (and so is everyone else). Franch Toast 26,910
I find "Stupid Love" to be a catchy bop and appreciate its exuberance and how happy it makes me, but this guy isn't wrong about the lyrics. They're not that compelling. It's a nice message, sure, but that's it. I'm in a literary field, so I appreciate a good lyric, but I also enjoy listening to songs where I can just let go, have fun, and dance. I am, after all, a child of the '80s, and sometimes you just want to bop to something fun and not think too much. I imagine other songs on Chromatica will be more interesting lyric-wise. Also, what's with his shade re: BTW lyrics? I think the title track is kind of trite (again, good message, but the writing is lazy to me), but there are good lyrics on that album too. Has he not heard "Judas" or "Bloody Mary" for starters? Though I do agree that ARTPOP's lyrics are largely more innovative. She/Her/Hers

REALITY 76,785
I'm sorry, but I genuinely don't understand why people think SL's lyrics are cheesy, dumb, or basic. Like, are we listening to the same song? Sure, it's not Shakespeare, but it's also no "Yummy" where she says the same thing for 70% of the song. The pre-choruses and choruses are not the best (in terms of lyrics), but that's also because those parts of the song serve to be really fun, danceble, don't-think-too-much-and-just-bop moments. The verses, in my opinion, are very well written. I mean, when you criticze SL, but then bop out to "da da doo-doo Just Dance", that's just blatant hypocrisy. Also, even some of her more meaningful songs don't necessarily have the most meaningful lyrical content. Look, I love MR, a lot, but you can't deny that saying "million reasons" 6 times in your opening verse is repetitive and over-the-top.
