Inferno 2,880
Hes very wishy washy with gaga. He tends to support her when she's not getting support, for instance he had generally positive things to say about ARTPOP and Joanne singles, but when she has hype or is doing well he's usually opposed to her output. Hes a contrarian in that sense, he gets annoyed when she gets hype. Which is proven by the fact that he enjoys plenty of pop with "dumb" lyricism and far more generic playlist ready dullness but it really just depends on who it is and low-key who is paying him to not trash their material. That being said, the chorus is dumb af.

Guest
How can people think BTW is great lyrically? I love the album and songs, but most of the lyrics are cringy. Bad Kids and Hair are the worst lyrically.

Maybe to us gays “dirty pony I can’t wait to hose you down” / “as long as I’m your hooker (back up and turn around)” / “on the runway work it black jesus” are fun lyrics but to a critic I can see why Born this way is lyrically not that strong. Sure there are some strong ones especially Marry The Night or The Edge of Glory but I will admit a couple of songs do come off as campy / cheesy (americano...) which I guess is sort of the point.
