Gaga >>>> Madonna Btw, Gaga already had her "Ray Of Light" with Joanne I think Cheek to Cheek and Joanne was her "Bedtime Stories" era. Cleaning her image. Gaga's "Ray of Light" era was The A Star Is Born era. Again at the top, New hit song, the old fans came back, her demographic grow insanely

Joanne = Ray of light and heres why: - similar concept - personal - redefinied career - reflects on personal life But Chromatica will be Gaga's 'BEYONCÈ' though! I do think the album as a whole piece of work sounds red/black/white. But if I take each song separately, none of the tracks sound anything like those 3 colors

La Rosalia 9,906
well, in theory maybe that’s what Gaga wants to reflect. But from what we’ve heard, Stupid Love has got NOTHING on Frozen’s quality.

Well they're definitely not gonna be similar sonically. I'm hoping that the album as a whole will provide a better context for SL.

Feline 622
Ray of light is M7 , was distinctive on M's discography because of all her new spiritual references (which was a breakthrough from the catholic imagery) and also cause it was her first album after having her first child (Lola), when Madonna started practicing the kabbalah. It has songs like Shanti/Ashtangi which was inspired on her personal mantra, it took many elements of the hindi culture, and the whole album was mixed with M's new religious practices and perspectives. The tour that accompanied ROL was jointed with the album Music, the show had several references to asian culture too... I don't really see much similarities on any work of Gaga, yet....... And Chromatica certainly isnt realated much to those topics... nor sonically (judging it by taking Stupid Love as example). And come on, If gaga decided to go on a real full ROL inspired era, she would be roosted over cultural appropriation claims. We need a SpirtualGa if you all really want to compare both eras. If you want to compare it success wise, well, we still need to see Chromatica's (LG6) release to really do it. edit. I know you're comparing these albums as you experience both as a color and its fair comparison, and I'm not saying is your case but i really cringe when monsters do comparisons to M's albums when they certainly dont know a thing of Ms discography
