And I’m from Texas so I know people who vote for Trump for a variety of reasons, but I’d think your own daughter going through something like that would deter you from supporting him. A lot of Trump supporters in NY both city and state are very out of touch with what Trump actually is and what they believe he is. Truth be told in a way they are victims of marketing and media manipulation through various platforms - primarily television and Facebook. I'm from NY and I have a lot of older family members who have honestly very progressive views and stand points - but they were fed lies of what Trump actually is - him being "honest" and "unfiltered" primarily and it has led to them supporting a man that truly does not line up with the values I personally see them uphold every day in life. It's really just sad over all because it's people being so strongly manipulated and misguided to the extreme.

berlinforme 5,317
To me it sounds rather like he's complaining about the city's officials not doing anything about the the city's problems? He's not blaming the homeless for being homeless but rather speaking bout the problem of homelessness and rodents and so on. Media and most of all hysterical stans will spin it in a bad way though edit: Oof, I didn't know about the Trump thing
HausOfG 1,560
How many of you are blowing this up in twitter... And the cycle continues. 🙄 I completely understand Joe's frustration. I certainly would avoid eating in places where smelly and drunk people were going to be. And he can only be so compassionate when he has a business to run. The real problem is the government not looking after homeless people with housing and mental health service. It's an issue where I'm from as well. That said, a wealthy white man complaining about the homeless is just gonna be jumped on and Gaga will unfortunately take the heat for it. Its just... messy. The trump part I did not know about. That's sad 😭 but it's also no reason not to eat at his restaurant. He might donate to the orange buffoon but I have no doubt he donates to actual charities too. He is going to be fine regardless but if he has to close his businesses then hard working staff become unemployed. I can't imagine retiring after years working in tech only to lunge into the restaurant business in NYC. Especially with a dodgy heart. I'd be living it up free of stress and worry. And fair and legit criticism is allowed. Christian was getting bullied and harassed by ugly fans (usually bradga idiots) for daring to be super into his FIANCEE. I'm glad she broke off with him as she obviously wasnt into it enough to get married, and yes his IG is pretty cringe, but he wasn't the "creep" fans made him out to be either. Gaga obviously didn't mind him posting those pictures or going to events with her (how very dare he!! 🙄) The hate started from the beginning even when Gaga looked happy with him. They even tagged his daughter, sister and ex wife in their hate. It was so nasty. So it isn't comparable to this issue, at all. Joe's situation is complicated as hell and there is issues way bigger than him not paying his rent. Also, he's not wrong in what he says. Andy McQueen 4,484
First he spents a huge amount of money to Trump, now this. I sympathize with LG as I have many friends and family who also support the b*stard. But we are also adults and can move on from this. Joe’s vote doesn’t even matter - NY always goes blue. Let him waste his 1000 bucks. New York always goes blue .. the reason we have such a bad homelessness issue. When Giuliani was Mayor (R) he was the one credited for cleaning up most of NYC .. Serial Chiller 8,044
ok this revelation that he supports Trump kinda shook me. I mean, it doesn’t take anything away from Gaga (and Cynthia) but good god being associated with a Trump supporter just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. He’s way more closeted than TSwift’s dad. Makes me wonder how many of the middle-upper class secretly support that disgusting swine. I guess I won’t ever support his restaurant no matter how much Gaga is associated with it. Yes because reducing crime and giving the homeless jobs was such a bad thing in the late 80’s / early 90’s. How dare we make the streets safer for all and provide work for the people who needed it most. I am truly a HORRID person ..

Good god some of you middle class folks live in a thick bubble.
