You're right, they don't! I said people deserved to know, so they could make an informed decision. If I was taking a trip to  NYC before, I absolutely would have gone to Joanne's. Now I won't, but everyone is free to make that decision themselves fo course!

It doesn’t surprise me if he’s a Republican but it’s odd that he supports Trump who sexually assaults women, when Gaga is such an advocate for victims of abuse and was even assaulted herself.. 

And I’m from Texas so I know people who vote for Trump for a variety of reasons, but I’d think your own daughter going through something like that would deter you from supporting him.

This seems like an unfortunate and complicated situation for all involved. No business owner wants people exposing their genitalia or urinating on the premises, and from the video shared on this thread, it seems there have been problems with theft as well. Customers don't want this either. Yet at the same time, NYC has a serious problem with homelessness (and rodents, apparently – it is the Year of the Rat after all). Who wants to be the bad guy and kick out these people, especially in the middle of winter? I highly doubt Joe is some meanie who wants homeless people to freeze to death, but alas, when his comments are taken out of context and reduced to soundbites, that's how it kind of comes across. Alas, these are unfortunate optics, especially when his daughter preaches a message of kindness, even though this should have absolutely nothing to do with her.

How is this article trying to make Gaga look bad? It literally has nothing to do with her. Most people don't share the exact same views as their parents anyway, so it's not like they're trying to make her look bad.

And I don't know if he is a Republican, I'm sure he has been to the same rallies Gaga has been to. However, it doesn't surprise me he is a small business owner and like in the UK, the divide between whether you left and right is age. If you are over 65 in the UK you are 90% more likely to vote Conservative. I guess that's the same for older Americans with Republican.
