Sis..this is the same fanbase that was responsible for most of the tweets calling SL a flop when it's not a flop. I typed it in the twitter search bar and saw the tweets....people always coming for Gaga.

To be fair, it wouldn't surprise me if he was a Trumper (ugh). But it's not our business —unless you live in NYC and specifically plan to boycott all businesses who have owners who donate money. Also, open secrets just gives the name and the city....Joe Germanotta is a pretty common name. There's a 50/50 shot it's not even him.

Ages ago someone pulled up an open secrets thing with his name, NYC, and the word "retired" and decided it was proof he donated money...even though he's not retired and his name is pretty common. That plus him cutting off an interviewer who kept asking Gaga about Trump made people think he's a Trumper...Gaga's implied he was semi-conservative and used to be homphobic, but he could also be a Bloomberg guy.

I hate Trump and am very critical of supporters, and even I thought it was too far (an invasion of privacy) to look up her parents information like that when it first came up.....

I just find it funny that...I got warning points and almost banned for calling Carino a creep - (a idea that almost all LMs subscribe to now) when he was being a creep publicly on social media and at events - because we need to be respectful.

But it’s perfectly okay for you guys to drag HER DAD because of who he voted for (allegedly).

If he was publicly going on Fox or all over Trump on social media, it would be one thing to drag him. If people knew him in person or were boycotting all business owners who donate $ in NYC, again it'd be a different situation....

But people crossed a line and invaded his privacy...so I think they need to leave it alone, as you said. Also, there's not even any definitive proof it's her dad who donated $...I went to school with a guy who had a last name Germanotta. It's hardly uncommon.

It's not a smear campaign. It's media using her name for clicks, and little monsters amplifying it on social media because they can't help themselves.
