The new "Put me on to your black motorcycle" part is cringeworthy. I am hoping once I hear the whole thing it will grow on me. I'm kind of horrified... She had to re-make the song into a Born To Die session... That's why she changed the vocals and stuff. Honestly, I'm happy she re-released and I think it's gorgeous, I don't compare the versions, I don't need to. I'm just happy that my favorite song is her favorite song, and that it means so much to her to re-record it and release it. I think we should be discussing something more important, like the roots of the song. Agree 100%. So much drama. The new version is fitting for the current album which is what it was changed for. She can't just copy and paste a 4 year old song onto a record without giving it the weight it needs to match the new songs. We have both versions, so who cares if there's an updated one. I like the old one more, but the new one works for what it is. Maybe it will sound better in full? It's a long song and we've only heard a quarter of it.
