I checked if BBC Radio 1 was the main reason for this and overall (Fri-Tue) they actually gave SL more spins than TOS, whereas Capital mostly gave twice as much spins to TOS (even tho Capital plays SL a lot) so that might be a key factor idk

I’m curious to see how they’re going to manage the era with the album so close to the lead. You’d think they’d let the lead grow more before releasing the album but maybe they want to push the album as a whole more? Everything has been on point so far it’ll be interesting what their next move will be.

In my opinion they will get everything ready for the Grande drop and then see how it goes with Stupid Love. If in the next 3 weeks it becomes her next shallow they'll let it ride out and just release some promo singles. If it bombs after two weeks they'll release the collab and then MV all near release week. Otherwise they'll kill SL momentum
