Sure, profit is a big factor in all of this, after all, music is a business, but the fact that the virus is literally affecting everything and everyone right now seems like a pretty good reason to delay it, don't you think? From her statement, it was obvious that she had a lot of promo planned. She had Coachella and she also said she had many other surprises for us. Had this situation not blown up to level it is now, we'd be getting soooo much more stuff right now. We'd probably have the album cover, the tracklist, a potential second single, more interviews, more photoshoots, more talk show appearances, more paparazzi fashion pics, etc. by now, if the virus had not been so widespread and so devastating. She's not pretending to be Bill Nye or anything like that; she just sees that there are legitimately awful things happening right now. As she said, in her perspective, it doesn't feel right to release this album. You may disagree with that, I do, to an extent, but its her album, not yours and not mine.
