It's more of a market/perception issue imo. In a pop sphere currently dominated by trap and R&B influences, her team's lack of ability (or decision) to not pivot the creative direction of her releases is the only problem. Had she been on the pulse of pop and gone disco like Dula Peep, she'd be back on top. Not that being on top really matters when you're already that established, but I'd like to see her turn the party in the mainstream again. lilmizmuffet 1,570
Does anyone else feel like, stylistically, this is the continuation after ARTPOP. Not to throw and shade to Joanne or ASIB, but it's clear (and well documented) that she had a big shift emotionally and scrapped a lot of concepts mid-ARTPOP promo and it feels like this is picking up right where the Rah Rah Bish left off. She seems happy, healthy, and back on her insane ****. I'm gutted the universe didn't let this rollout happen like it was planned, but I think for early fans of Gaga, this is a really exciting return to her carefully curated aesthetic from the Born This Way era. There's a real creative consistency if you follow the progression of the albums (with Joanne left out lol). Water like misery
Miel 15,009
I know it was inadvertent and uninetional, but the whole situation with the cover leak (and its very positive response from, well, literally everybody) generated a whole lot of interest in the album phase. Like, this would be great to leverage any sort of hype, even if it’s a longer game down the line. Knowing her team, they won’t 😰 I guess in the end, it’s all contingent on when they plan to actually release material, if they have a plan at all, and how strongly they will stick to it (ie SL leak situation). It’s just wild how much hype there is around it, as indicated by the cover leak. 3 points in and ready for more

Mainly the real housewives and Andy Cohen but the Minecraft and lego parts Are you really gunna act like the video flopped because of these things the GP doesn't care about. She literally disappeared from the face of the earth Canceled the second single (twice) and then reappeared MONTHS later and did that video as a gift to fans after the messy ass era....G.U.Y never had a chance. OMonster 15,019
I'm so saddened by how this era has been destroyed pretty much right from the outset. - The initial delays that really irked the fanbase, and created an attitude of desperation not excitement. - The leak of SL and snippets of the MV. - The way this was ignored for a long time - even at the SuperSaturdayShow. - The MVs - unfairly, imo - negative response from most fans. - The radio silence from Gaga (even before Covid) - The Babylon leak. - The album DELAY. - The album cover leak. - The cancelled iHeartRadio performance, the cancelled Coachella set, the cancelled Apple music event. - No looks, no candids, no fan interactions. - Postponed tour. And, of course, all of this has happened against the backdrop of a global pandemic that has changed the world immeasurably. All of this is, of course, totally out of Gaga's hands - but man, when you really lay it out, this era's roll out, quite literally, could not have been worse. I mean, can you IMAGINE if we knew LG6 would be like this? All the years of hype, waiting and anticipation - and THIS is what has happened. It's such a hard pill to swallow. I know there are more important things going on right now in the world, but, as a fan, it's really tough. What makes it EVEN worse is how this album is probably incredible and won't have the era it deserved. And the damn album cover leaking ???? it's so unfair for Gaga and the fans. I'm doing everything I can to avoid it, but knowing it's just out there is so weird and so wrong. Chromatica will be forever tainted - for us, and for Gaga. And her first pop album in so, so long did not deserve that. Spoiler Let me have my rant, lol. I KNOW the world is suffering right now. I KNOW it's just a pop album. And I KNOW it means nothing. But to me, and I am sure to many on here, in our own little bubbles - it does matter. It matters to us because Gaga matters to us and so does her work. And regardless of how irrelevant it is in the grand scheme of this pandemic, it matters to us. subtext / fantasy
