Well, like, he's right.

Ariana's a pretty good example of people cherry picking who's allowed to do what.

He's kinda right, though. While the likes of Taylor Swift would have you believe that the world is supportive of men being confessional about their exes, the reality is that men have a much harsher reception if they get too indepth or are a bit too mean. Meanwhile, women are treated in a "you go, girl" way and are encouraged to rub his nose in it. If the ex has done something really awful to you, fair enough, but they seem to be encouraged regardless of the situation. For example, if women make jokes about their ex's small penis or how he couldn't satisfy them, it's funny. If a man made jokes about his ex's flat chest or said she wasn't satisfying him, he'd be called a sexist pig. Double standards wouldn't go amiss.

And calling her out for "spraying herself brown?" BURN. I thought we were past the days where white women overly tan themselves and think it looks good.

Preach what? Men have denigrated women for millennia and when women finally seem to have a voice they get targeted for doing so and the poor man who happens to be a white male is of course frustrated because how dare she open her mouth and of course he was going to talk about double standard because is convenient for him. Take several seats Pete. I know you had it hard growing up but a lot of people have WAY WAY WAY harder than you. The guy works at SNL! He might not be filthy rich but I can bet you he can afford a good therapist to get treated while others HAVE to suffer in silence because they literally can't afford it and they don't go about complaining how hard their lives actually are.

Exactly. I cant even believe  that some "enlightened" members here are on his side

"She painted herself brown" thats so ****ing out of line and bumb .its somthing I'll expect to hear from ignorant stans .but i guess theres no difference between him and them

I’m sorry, but all you’re doing is excusing her behavior, because he is rich. There should not be double standards, PERIOD. It doesn’t matter if men have been doing it for millenia. The behavior should be held at the same standard across the board. Otherwise, your hypocrisies of pretending to be “enlightened” are only excuses and double standards. It’s not acceptable that men do it. It’s not acceptable that women do it. The standard is the standard. No justifying. Keep the standard equal and don’t be a hypocrite.

Never called myself enlightened  read my post again

And secondly i dont care what anyone  says .him saying that  she painted herself brown is so vulgar and disrespectful. That is a serious issue and it shouldn't be used to get back at an ex. That's a line i would expect to hear  from a stan trying to discredit  her success

I swear people really don't think before they write stuff like this.:enigma:

If you actually LISTEN to her music you'd know this is SO far from the truth lmao.

Imagine

Needy

Bloodline

Fake Smile

Bad Idea

Ghostin

Make up

Nasa

TU,N

Are all pop songs from her latest album so something isn't adding up.:sis:

And sweeter is literally ALL 90s RnB and pop which makes sense because Pharrell produced it. Y'all need to come up with something else besides a Spray tan, 7 rings, God is a woman, and Break up with your gf.

I am tired. I never claimed TUN was not a pop album I said it was taken in Hip hop/RnB direction. Even an article from either billboard, vice or pitchfork said Ariana was smart by integrating a mindset of a RnB/Hip Hop artist to make a pop album. Also, I also never claimed it’s bad by using inspiration from certain aesthetic. I just simply said Ariana was building her as an *urban* artist to sell album in 2019 (I hate this word but I don’t want to use race ambiguous). It’s just interesting to see Ariana gets the approval while other artists get bashed ruthlessly. Which I also don’t really care whether we should bash her or not. I think she’s an interesting artists as well as smart business woman.

Please ignore the spelling in username. I am a Beyonce stan afterall.

She literally look like any Mediterranean country woman who enjoys tanning in Summer. Her color is nothing problematic.

It just feel "unatural" because her hair is very light. Put her in a brown wig and she's once again like any woman living near the sea

Well it only makes sense to somewhat follow current trends to collect those coins lol. But the way she executes it doesn't come off as disingenuous. I mean she literally says she got drunk with her friends and made seven rings for fun lol. That's more like integration and inspiration in my opinion I mean her best friend who writes songs with her is black lmao. Maybe I'm wrong but that's my opinion as a black person. She's far from someone like Kim or Kylie...:fan: But I still see where you're coming from as well.
