well Japan could survive us all, because they have some common sense and use masks and have proper hygiene all the time. say what you want... masks work. and washing hands, staying away from huge crowds of people, all those things add up. 

since the coronavirus reached news, all japanese got more careful and suprisingly it works. there are now statistics showing classical flu numbers were halved. Just by being more careful 50% less people got the flu. And this also works for Corona virus. 

 

problem is that european countries are not that careful. i wore a mask a few times already out of safety reasons and got laughed at and ridiculed, for being to extreme and anxious. 

it's a problematic public mindset.

there's the risk youll get quarantined

japan is doing really bad concerning the outbreak. while italy and sk have cancelled massive events and schools, Japan hasn't taken any measures and all because of the olympics

i don't think he was implying that we should make jokes about European countries being infected with the virus. What i believe he was saying was that it wasn't fair that people were making jokes about the virus in the first place (pertaining to Chinese or East Asian people).

And I don’t believe that Indonesia has ZERO cases when all neighbouring countries have reported the virus.

Many governments are purposely undereporting cases to avoid losing tourism and trade dollars. These governments are putting lives at risk, including Japan. 

Only four weeks ago there were 1,000 infections globally and today there are 79,000 infections.

It is beyond China now. This is now a global pandemic.

US too. Only 400 tests have been done. You need have been in Wuhan, otherwise no test will be done.

Italy and SK have done thousands and that's why they have so many infected (confirmed). If there's no confirmed, then an epidemic doesn't exist, that's the strategy of many countries, including the US and many Latin American countries. 

This is a pandemic now, no need to have been in Wuhan or China, we see what's happening in Iran, 2 deaths before any confirmed cases. Now there are over 50 deaths and probably thousands of infected

I get that but the way he put it out was tragic saying why I don't see jokes here as well. If he's that hurt by the events it's not time to be edgy just say don't make jokes about Asia or don't speak about such tragedy in Italy at all.

That’s extremely irresponsible but you do you I guess. If you do go, try buying n95 masks and learn how to use them properly, as well as sanitizer and watch out for any symptoms at least 14 days after being exposed.
