I think one of the major questions after tonight is if this modest second place (and a likely first place finish in SC) will be enough to revive Biden’s campaign.

Also, have caucuses always reported so slowly? :messga:

A friendly reminder that a very last minute rule decision to change how delegates were calculated based off of first vs final votes gave Clinton more delegates than she had won based on her votes in certain areas in 2016, and that the vote to do this last minute rule change was a clear NAY vote, But the person in charge said the vote passed anyway :rip:

This resulted in a pretty raucus backlash and they threatened to arrest people who were upset at the rule change if they didn't go home :emma:  Later, Jon Ralston said that they threw chairs and attacked people. It was entirely fabricated, and when this was proven, he did not apologize or retract his statement.

So she won a slight delegate equivalent victory, and they changed the rules to make it a decisive delegate victory in what would have been a loss with the rules staying in place (he had more final vote %s, she had more first votes, a reverse Iowan expedition truly!) and they said " a decisive victory" immediately, calling it a "huge blow" for Sanders, even though he should have won more delegates.

For even more background, Superdelegates were swinging this towards Hillary from the get go, so Bernie having more delegates and positive momentum could have led to a contested convention, but she continued to siphon off delegate leads from him, and this led into "bernie's a flop" narrative going into the southern states where her delegate lead grew from there.

Now, NV + IA were required to show the popular vote on the first, final alignment, and the delegates given for transparency. If we had had that then, its possible he may have won the popular vote afterall.

The way narrative shapes history is kind of ridiculous.

She had like 40 votes during the initial round... the Russian tool got what she deserved.

Pls no, youre falling for a made up centrist lie. Shes a progressive and she’s pretty similar to Bernie and would be a great VP for him

She voted “present” during Trump’s impeachment proceedings in the House. I’m pretty sure that alone makes her a liability to anyone’s campaign.

I, as a Bernie supporter, would question his judgement if he decided to put her in such a prominent position on his ticket when he is trying to win over the Democratic Party.

Agreed. I support Bernie and he better not choose Tulsi. I'd questions his judgment too.

Frankly though, I trust him to not make that decisions and don't think we have to worry about it.

OT: Congrats to Bernie for winning a landslide victory in Nevada, and taking over 50% of the Latino vote :applause:

That's super impressive and will be a look into how he defeats Trump in November.

He's done this since 2016. He thinks he can beat Bernie easily.

That's not true though. In a leaked audio a few weeks back, Trump admits it'd be harder against Bernie because he's better than him especially on trade.

So, no, I don't think he thinks he can beat him easily. Maybe he thinks he can beat him, but not easily.

He knows it will be a lot more work and difficult to.

Warren and Amy should drop out. Moderates are really stupid. No one will win at this point with this strategy.

I don't believe Warren would drop out anytime soon. She implied heavily keeping her delegates all the way to the end to the convention.

Less and less people will vote for her. She wont get any delegates here and I doubt that she will more delegates outside her state, even if she stays in the race. The same thing with Amy.

I’m ok with Warren dropping out. A good portion of her supporters claim Bernie as their second choice.

Klobuchar on the other hand should stay in and continue taking votes away from Pete :vegas:

This mentality will backfire for Bernie supporters with a broken convention. :ladyhaha:
