kinda hate saying this because I’m a huge Marina fan, but Love + Fear was disappointing...

I cannot really fault Electra Heart or Froot and L+F was just disappointing with some really good songs but some amazing leaked ones (Please don’t call me)

show me to me please

Dumb Blonde and Tell Me It's Over are the only songs on the album i've played more than once

I’ve replayed the album a few times, but lowkey forgot about it quickly. The only songs I really replay now are Head Above Water, Dumb Blonde and I Fell in Love With the Devil.

What you want Lady Gaga🥂 What you want with Christina🥂

The Fame

Shadow Works by Kerli. I ADORE Kerli as both an artist and herself. She is second only to Gaga; one of my favorite artists by far. However, Shadow Works missed me, sadly. :( I do like Legends and Mimicry, but her random singles Diamond Hard and Spirit Animal were both better than the whole album, tbh.

Love and Fear by Marina. The songs were like...technically okay, but they missed some kind of factor to them that her other songs had (with exception to Handmade Heaven, which I think is equivalent to her previous great works). It's like they are okay to listen to every once in a while, but her other body of work makes you want to get up and dance and sing and like...L + F just doesn't pack a punch to it?

Joanne - bc I really wanted the AHS inspired LG5

Anti - THEE most overrated album. I think it’s actually very boring

Manic - a few good ones but too many short songs and interludes

Madame X - As a non-Madonna fan, Medellin made me really excited for the album but then nothing else stood out to me

NFR - a few good ones but pretty boring

Sweetener - amazing singles but no other gems

Stranger Songs - I love Ingrid and was so excited for the inspiration for this album. I only really liked the singles

Honey - we didn’t wait so long for this album to only be 9 songs.

Any of Lily Allen’s latest stuff just doesn’t click with me. I always found her music interesting and edgy but she went in an odd direction

two albums I feel that don't get mentioned much on GGD

I do like Stranger Songs and I thought it was an underrated album but also I never watched the series so.... :messga:

Honey is a decent album but it is way too short and at least for me not as dancey and I wanted but still a bop

Pop Music and Lady Gaga forever!

"Ultraviolence" by Lana del Rey.

I had such a bad experience listening to it, to this day I haven't heard a worse album.

Thank god for "Norman F***ing Rockwell", one of the greatest album of the decade, she finally made an album truly great from start to finish, and not bloated with filler tracks and unnecessary features.

I should really give "Ultraviolence" another listen to see if my opinion changed in the slightest.

Genuinely curious as to why you think NFR is superior to Ultraviolence?:flower:

For me UV had more of a distinct 'Lana' flavour, with her 60s/70s fantasies and nihilistic romance fetish coming through very strong. It had no features and was a very compact, extremely cohesive album IMO.

For me NFR is a bit more... generic? Or at least less unique anyway. And the unnecessarily long songs make it feel like it's dragging in.

I love every second of NFR, while I hated every second of UV.

It's that simple.

Time. It will not wait, no matter how hard you hold on...

ARTPOP.

Don't get me wrong, I love the album, but so many little things pissed me off...

- Aura: the vocals in the verses, the effect on her voice in the intro

- Venus: some of the lyrics, and the dead chorus (take me to your planet)

- G.U.Y.: wtf was that chorus lol

- Sexxx Dreams: the iTunes Fest version was way sexier

- Jewels N' Drugs: her witch vocals (I admit..)

- MANiCURE: the "can you feel it" part, her voice being too low in the chorus, the lack of rock vocals in the verses

(DWUW is the best song ever omg)

- ARTPOP: where the f are the "hee hee"s??? and the beat wasn't deep enough to me

- Swine: her voice is strange (in a bad way) allthrough the song

- Donatella: some of the lyrics were a choice, and that one-note chorus...

- Fashion!: the melody, production, lyrics

- Mary Jane Holland: the chorus should've been stronger imo

(Dope, Gypsy and Applause are great the way they are)

After the iTunes Festival I expected so much, but it seems that Interscope wanted this album to be more "tame" than Gaga did

ARTPOP, was disappointed with finished album vs what they sounded like at Swinefest. It's also my least favorite Gaga album.
