Gagaloo911 12,959
In a new Reuters/Ipsos poll, Bernie leads every other Democratic candidate and crushes Trump with Independents, a key and deciding voting bloc in every election. https://www.commondreams.org/news/2020/02/11/sanders-crushes-trump-18-points-among-independent-voters-new-national-general?fbclid=IwAR1VfcjT1YSG58uo8VTaTP5P5vRKRODX7XKBtjqvSGjVSl3VAUv5iBjJqL4 How's that for electability little centrists? Maleficent 6
Before anyone says “Polls can’t be trusted, look at 2016” Reminder: Hillary Clinton never gained more than 3.5 points above Donald Trump (in fact in March of 2016, she was losing to him by 1 point) https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_clinton-5491.html
Harris Walz 2024 1,451
I see good news for all Democrats. It's still very early in the primary. Best to raise up all the candidates in case one falters, scandal, etc.
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Bernie is obviously electable, yes 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

Not in the first question no. It is only polling Independents, not Democrats. And if that were the case, that's actually a benefit for Bernie considering he'll need Independents to defeat Trump. It can't just be Democrats and that goes for any Dem, they all will need independents, swing voters and even new voters to do so. We can assume nearly all Dems would vote for him considering they mostly just want to beat Trump. And according to this poll, Bernie will bring over the most Independents and the kind of voters we'll need to do so. In the second poll from that tweet, he also does the best of all the Dems with all voters. Taken together this means he has the best chance of beating Trump. Now that's some electability! He is tied with Bloomberg and beating every other Dem in a head-to-head with Trump among all voters (the bottom half of the tweet). So no, no other candidate is doing better than him against Trump among all voters. You really try everything you can pull to undermine him and his success huh. And yet you keep losing

No one is winning or losing here. Across polling, he's consistently performed better than the other candidates against Trump, and has consistently performed well with Independents against Trump. I'm not sure if you know this, but Independents and swing voters are who ultimately determine elections. Hillary lost with Independents to Trump, and this is a key reason why she lost the election. Obviously we will see. And this isn't directed at you, but those biased against Bernie really fail to acknowledge this reality. If they would look past their own bias, they could see the strength he has with Independents and why that is a strong case for him defeating Trump. I mean no other Dem really comes close to his numbers with Independents. And well, if you didn't continuously make some snide or passive aggressive remark about him in most if not all your posts about him, I wouldn't have to point it out. Especially when most of the time they don't pan out or age well
