I never said this was a significant portion of his net worth

 

What I said was when ppl complain about them splurging an insane amount of money on stuff ppl should remember if they didn't it would be even worse. That's all I said

 

Until the government starts taxing them better at least this way some money leaks back into the economy than if they spend nothing and hoard everything

Amazon takes advantage of legal tax loop holes that let u write off investment expenses

 

The idea behind these loopholes is to encourage companies to invest and grow

 

But in reality it just means Corporations that are already doing Extremely well (like Amazon) get to lower their taxes (and sometimes in extreme cases pay not income taxes at all) although they still have to pay property tax, pay roll taxes etc

 

Corporations that are not doing as well or struggling to grow cannot take advantage of the loopholes to the same extent and pay more taxes

 

So the tax system is regressive even in the business and Corporate world not just among people
