Wtf is this? Punish the poor with regressive taxes to keep them healthy? It kinda sounds like he regards poor people as wild animals :rip:

At least the people he donated to didn't end up winning their senate seats just to later vote to confirm  Brett Kavana- oh wait that happened :selena:

I don't think he's angling for the minority vote. Trump won with very little minority support. He's courting super delegates for a brokered convention. He's definitely THE wildcard in this race. With billions to invest in his campaign, he can easily lock up a 15 to 20% block of delegates if not more.

Well of course Trump won his nomination with very little minority support, the Republican Party is like 99.9% white :air:

Most minorities that vote are Democrats. If you can’t get them to vote for you then there’s no way you can with the Democratic nomination.

To be fair, a lot of that has to do with people simply not knowing this and not being informed about him.

Which is why the media should be doing its job in covering this but is failing miserably as it does with most things.

I think that if he comes to the next debates and really gets challenged on this, and if this issue gets more coverage as it should, that support will drop.

I'd also like to see how much of that support from AA comes from young AA voters. My hunch is it's not very high just like Biden's isn't with young AA.

I think only Warren is safe with race issues, but maybe I've missed something. The other 4 candidates have problems in their record, because the system is how it is. Some of them, like Amy, didnt have to get black support in their states, so only know they realize some mistakes.

That's not really true. Warren does horribly with PoC and has the whole lying about the Native American ancestry thing. Her base is basically just wealthy white liberals lol

Biden has his own issues but polls the best with AA, but this skews dramatically to older AA. Bernie takes the cake with young AA. Amy and Pete do miserably with their effectively 0% support with PoC. Bloomberg is a wildcard, and Steyer is doing decent with AA in SC at least.

Bernie is arguably the "safest" with race issues. He was actually part of the Civil Rights Movement, chaining himself to AA activists, and has his entire record to point to fighting for racial justice and other issues his entire life.

Also, looking at the actual vote breakdown, Bernie took nearly 40% of voters of color in Iowa, annihilating the rest of the candidates there. He's also catching up to Biden in SC, and Bernie polls the best of any of the candidates with Latinos.

If he ultimately eclipses Biden with AA as a whole, he'll have consolidated a significant proportion of voters of color to back him when considering his support among Latinos as well.

I know u like Bernie and he has a strong AA support. But he doesnt have a clean record either.

And some people did mistakes, but have their succes stories with AA, including Bloomberg. So its complicated.

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by clean record I guess. Also, I think it really comes down to actions and words said since the indiscretions and how people view the candidates in that context. Also, Biden has his whole VP for Obama thing going for him even with his record which helps to explain his support with AA.

I do agree though that it is complicated, and for many PoC it just comes down to whether they feel candidates are fighting for them and what they can see they're doing now, irrespective of what they may have done in the past.

PLEASEEEEEEE, he use to be a Republican!  As well as an Independent, and a Democrat ALL just within his 3 terms as Mayor of NYC!  Smh

This is 1 of the reasons why I NEVER liked him when he was mayor!  Along with his racism in regards to Stop n’ Frisk, doing the whole Nanny State thing by banning Large Soft drinks - SMH!  Being in cahoots with BIG Business + Wall-street, etc.

He should have NEVER run for President & I knew these specific issues/faults of his would come back up!  I was just waiting for someone to expose his "wonderful" record as mayor of NYC....  🙄😒👎🏾
