I really love that about her. It’s so tribal and loyal and old-fashioned and so not cool these days but I guess it makes what she and her Haus do so extraordinary. 

They’re more like a family business than a corporation. It’s more challenging, messier and not as polished as having all the media companies bankroll you, yet so refreshing to witness the magic they create.

Is the Haus even an actual company? Like do they receive some sort of finance/funding from someone other than gaga or is it literally all her money paying for all these people?? 
like does the Haus pay taxes and do they have like a hq ??

I loved that photoshoot, but tbh honest I can't picture what the show would look like if they kept this original inspiration, the pictures were all based on extreme transformations

 

And btw, I think that Enigma has a lot of good creative ideas, with PetGa, the giant robot, etc.. the creative universe they did is really cool, there are just some things like the blue wig that are a bit.. off for me

To me knowledge, the Haus of Gaga is a collective. Similar to how many agricultural producers get together to form a co-operative. So they may or may not have contracts, but effectively each person is a “part-owner” in the project. Profit is shared in each “project” according to some metric (maybe comparison income or opportunity cost?) I assume they all get paid as though they are each self-employed. I don’t think contracts are involved, or if they are they are only short term ones. Anyone can leave at any time. Kind of like a “gig economy” within the organisation itself.

Not sure if there is an HQ but I imagine most of what they do is on the road or spontaneous. Funding wise, I am not sure. Lots of grey areas that would need legal and accounting expertise. Maybe this is why Interscum neglects Gaga and makes such dumb decisions for her. Essentially the Haus is like a shadow executive boardroom, but with everyone is an artist instead of an MBA.

100% yes. You need to surround yourself with people who are going to disagree with you from time to time if you're going to get the best out of yourself regardless of the industry, but music more so than most.

Yes. There's no need to replace anyone. But she should hire different people so they can work together and create new stuff. There are a lot of new undiscovered talents out there. I always thought it would be a good idea to make a contest for artits (Designers, make artists, hairdressers, photographers...etc) who are talented but they aren't famous or people with not enough resources. 

BTW, who are the members right now? Gaga, Bobby, Sarah, Frederic, the dance crew, the band and?  Who is the stylist? There are more designers?

I definitely agree she needs more diversity. Especially in the hair/makeup department, no shade, to Sarah and Freddie, as their hyper talented but she’s been with Freddie for I think a whole decade now and I think she’s been with Sarah since 2014 I think (was it CTC Tour or ArtRave I can’t remember) like it’s gotten to where at least I can definitely expect what Freddie’s gonna do and overall what kinda of look Sarah will do. 
 

i just think she should work with some more people ever once in a while, that’s all, no need to fire anybody, just expand yourself and don’t limit yourself to a certain amount of people.

Wondering why do you say it's her pride? And why do you think it's so easy to just create magic with new people? 

From how people describe working with her, shes one of the most collaborative and ego-less talents out there. As far as working with other people, she's always said if the vibes right and spirit of collaboration is there, she's game. Who knows who she has had sessions with outside our knowledge. The things is, she's likely jammed with tons of people over the years, but if it doesn't click, it doesn't click. And maybe it did click and it's shelved or vaulted for one reason or another.  Remember her track w Cher? Remember all the people she's written for? Have you seen her BMI Repertoire? She still writes and creates with others but who knows what happened. Clock all the new names associated with Joanne, ASIB and rumored on LG6 ...It's exciting.

If she refuses to work with new people in roles very  close to her, that is perfectly understandable. It's  not uncommon to have a core group of trusted team members. It takes a LONG time to trust people and that's comes from LOTS of trial and error. If you've heard the speech she gave at Freddies award acceptance, she talks about having worked with the "best in the biz" and, without naming names, the best in the biz had her hair falling out. But Freddie? Never! 

I know people who have the same barber, hair stylst, tailor, friggin deli guy making their face sandwich, for YEARS for the exact same reasons. The Haus  are Master Craftspeople and excellent at what they do:  Bobby, Sarah,Freddie, Richy, majority of the dancers, many of the musicians, many tech leads, some stylists, so.e photgraphers, some songwriters etc etc etc--Have all been with Gaga since Monster Ball for a reason! They are the best in their respective fields, as she is in hers, and that is why they keep working with each other( and gagging us) for 11+ years now. 

There is something to be said for having people on your team that you-- your face, your body, your mind-- as well as their own. 

She has definitely created a dedicated and inspired core family, which she is very loyal to, but it is also obvious that shes trusted her team to bring in new people and collabs freely.

If you look at videos and social, there's fresh faces training under her squad. Remember even Tom and Sandra were under Brandon, and Brandon was under Nicola. It just takes time and trust. Can't bring any old fool into The Haus.

Yes, I’ve always thought that keeping things fresh is a must. Just like the presidents has to change over years. Your team should also change or at least not be used for EVERY project. Example: Beyoncé has a choreographer but he allows Bey to be taught by other people or work with others. 
 

As far as music, I really wish she’d open up. So many legendary producers and people have always said they’d work with her because she’s so real and raw with her process. She just goes with the same people. Not bad but it’s limited.

This would never work in the long run. Maybe I'm the only one who's noticed but typically when she works with anyone they tend to get VERY close. She goes through cycles of having different friend groups that make up her team. That's not a bad thing I think it just has a lot to do with how Gaga is as a person. She really only wants to collaborate if she connects with the person which makes it hard for her to constantly branch out. I'm fine with her doing whatever I doubt the haus influences everything she does as much as fans assume y'all love to take things out of context and over think them lol.
