Shannen Doherty’s Breast Cancer Returns

Some of us knows her as Brenda from TV Series, Beverly Hills 90210. 

But most of people my age and younger knows her as Prue Halliwell from the TV Series, Charmed.

 

But no matter where do you know her from, she is currently just asmit that she is very sick, or even, dying.

Shannen Doherty had good news to share in 2017: her breast cancer, which she had been battling since 2015, was in remission. But this week, the actress, 48, revealed that her cancer journey isn’t over yet. In an interview with ABC News that aired Tuesday on Good Morning America, Doherty said she’d been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. 
 

Survival rates vary depending on the type of breast cancer as well as the stage at diagnosis, among other factors. The SEER database, which tracks survival rates for breast cancer, doesn't use numbered stages but instead stages cancer under three categories: localized, regional, and distant. The 5-year survival rate for people initially diagnosed with localized breast cancer is 99%, the survival rate for those initially diagnosed with regional breast cancer is 86%, and for distant the survival rate is 27%, according to the American Cancer Society.
