It gives zero insight on how to make the album better. Describing the bass line as “sleepy drumming” is something that any high schoolers are able to do. We turn in these critics because we know they have better knowledge than us. Instead, they gave us a bunch subjectively vague feelings over a record. Y’all forget criticism meant to be constructive. I am willing to take 0 score that points out what they THINK he actually did wrong with the percussion rather than 4 score review that describes temporary mood at a line of a whole song. They lost their prestige over these half-ass reviews. Not to mention, the entire second paragraph is their nonsensical thought abt 1D past. Again who cares? Y’all need not to fall into these articles. They are half-ass journalists who have zero experience on actually making music or at least understanding how to make them. It’s 2020 pitchfork means **** and metacritics is just non-contextual number. We need to form a mindset not every criticism matters when LG6 is approaching near. They are all propaganda. They are forgettable part of 1D for sure. If this bad review(s) can be capitalised, he really need to ride on it. Cos I really think he need it. The only 1D solo I care about is Harry and Niall anyway, since they seems to understand which strong artistic choice he wanna get into much early on, and didn't waste time throwing stuffs on wall and see which one sticks.
