I'm not sure everyone understands this, but in each race, when a candidate didn't get enough votes, their supporters got to move to another candidate. So when Amy was declared non viable, (in that particular precinct) her supporters were able to switch to one of the remaining viable candidates. That's why you see races where in round one, Bernie was the clear winner. But by the end, the supporters whose candidates were eliminated moved to Pete in bigger numbers than to Bernie.
