ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Feel free to call me biased for saying this, but truly, caucuses make no sense. We don't have ranked choice voting in the general election, so I don't understand why second alignment exists at all other than to insolate moderate candidates from lack of enthusiasm? In the general election, the only thing that matters is what we would call the "first alignment" Anyone else feel me? Like this process is a mess and needs to be thrown out. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

Black moderates don't seem enthusiastic about Buttigieg, Warren and Sanders. What's the alternative to Biden for them? Steyer's not going to gain popularity, you'd think? Is Bloomberg participating in SC already? Steyer is #2 in SC, so if Biden flounders, there could be a HUGE change in the calculus. ItsTommyBitch 12,640
I think Pete wins overall delegate count by 2 or 3, but Bernie wins the first alignment. Warren in 3rd, Biden in close 4th. But... why the hell do we only have 2% reporting final results, it has been 2 hours? Something must be going on - not necessarily nefarious, but at this rate it would go on for several several more hours, it must pick up exponential. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

It's about giving the delegates to candidates, and they want to allocate those delegates to the candidates to the people that have the biggest chance of actually using those delegates. Why they use caucus instead of primary? who fucking knows haha This kitten over here (meow)

They have had issues with the app that the DNC had some unnamed company design for the caucus. Also with 2% in, you’re getting too far ahead of yourself. From what I’m hearing too many of the precincts so far have skewed urban and more educated and is why Pete is so high.

Why they use caucus instead of primary? who ****ing knows haha I understand the delegates, but I don't know why there should be a realignment that proportionally deals out the delegates instead of just one vote That just helps some candidates who don't have a shot actually go forward potentially. For example, even if Pete wins this total # of delegates or wins the final alignment (or both) he still currently has 0 chance of winning the nomination based on a delegate count Like, I'm just looking at the numbers. If he has 17 delegates, but Bernie has 14, he gets to claim victory, but in South Carolina he STILL has 3% support with black people, which is within the margin of error from 0%. He truly has shown that he is not able to garner black support and has generally very very low millennial and independent support either, which makes him unviable in the general. In fact, even if he were to win in NH, where he still behind, unless he becomes a black soothsayer for SC or the south, he would ultimately have less delegates than Bernie and Biden by a sizeable margin - so he would get the "we won Iowa" coverage, but it would be mostly wasted on him So this system is silly, we should jut give the winners their proportionate # of delegates based on how many people show up and vote a single time. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
Shaney 5,515
CNN reported that results are being processed at the DNC right now and should be official by midnight.
Marilyn MonHoe 11,011
Since only about 1.5% of the precincts have reported in, these numbers could literally flip... we don’t know what’s gonna happen. But if this trajectory continues.... Biden is in big trouble. The only thing keeping him afloat is his “electability”. Once this narrative is torn to shreds Biden will have no chance at the nomination.
