Trump added, with Hannity interjecting to note Sanders went to the former Soviet Union on his honeymoon. "I think of Bernie sort of as a socialist but far beyond a socialist," Trump continued. "At least he’s true to what he believes." Trump's comments were broadcast a day before the Iowa caucuses. Sanders, who identifies as a democratic socialist, has been leading in the most recent polls in the state. But Bernie's much more aggressive and, in his own words, he "doesn't tolerate bullshit well". It'll be at the very least interesting to see both of them together in that kind of environment. I don't think debates are going to cut it because republicans don't care what DT has to say or Bernie have to say. They vote Republican not matter what. The Trump campaign have been spent at least the past year or so calling the Democrats 'Socialists' in almost every message they send out, so regardless if the nomination is Bernie theyre still going to do it and have been. The GOP are screaming "socialism" towards any general welfare program like MFA/single payer healthcare, state sponsored education, etc as a scare tactic to turn off voters from voting in their own interests.
