Last summer I went and watched the Spice Girls and the weather was awful. The girls were drenched along with the stage, yet they didn’t cancel. It was quite possibly the best show I’ve been to. 

I mean,  it's not really about just the artist, but the safety of the audience as well. If the venue's not strong enough to handle severe weather, it's better to cancel the show.
