This wasn’t a tent. It’s a steel structure. The structure itself would be built to building code standard for structural integrity, but as it is a temporary structure it likely wasn’t built for extreme weather conditions, specifically drainage and the fact there is no cement pad foundation.
 

If the flooding is cleared by the morning I’m sure they’ll sandbag and be good to go tomorrow. 

but also, Florida is the land of extreme weather.. think the organizers would have planned for this. 
 

But the roof is not going to collapse... the building is fine.

I’m very aware that people are in danger and I have a lot of sympathy for what is happening.

I never said I’m worried about the era. I also clearly said that this is awful and I feel for the people who are there.
