Could be because she's keeping a low profile with a single imminent (and maybe a new look for the era which she'd want to debut when the single drops), or was only nominated in 1 televised award and probably not really worth showing up for...

I totally believe this. After the disaster of Reputation's nominations last time, she likely feared that she'd go home empty handed and didn't want any camera shots of her disappointed expression and to be let down in real time two ceremonies in a row. After failing to win anything for her last two albums, even with #1 and #2 singles, critical acclaim and sellout tours, I think it's safe to say that her status as a Grammy darling has well and truly expired.

Jesus your confrontational all I meant was if appearances were that much to her and she knew she wasn’t winning album of the year she wouldn’t go. The logic those people were using was “oh she cares about appearances and doesn’t want to do anything but win” if that’s the case she wouldn’t want to show up just to win best urban contemporary album. im using their logic, not mine. If appearances were that important she wouldn’t go just to win a minor award and none of the big three

I wasn't being confrontational, just pointing out the reality. Did it matter if it wasn't one of the major awards? If you're guaranteed a win, it's still a win and it got televised. Just saying your point didn't make sense, no need to take it so personally. I'm not trying to be self righteous and snarky and it didn't make me happy to say that to you.
