I don’t want any members of the progressive mindset to sit in their primary just because he’s doing good in the polls and not show up to vote because they think others will. We need to win Iowa. All of you guys, talk to your friends, family, your friend’s family, your family’s friends and tell them to get out and vote for Bernie. There's been a few people they've interviewed in Iowa from the campaign and they're saying the campaign is truly acting as if they are behind, that they are laser focused and that people are really trying to win this thing. Donate if you can. I've convinced my friend and her husband to get out and caucus for Bernie in Iowa. We should aim for a plurality (leading, more than anyone else but less than 50%). But it will have to be enough of a margin so superdelegates can't override it. We know they will almost all vote for Biden. And if Bernie gets a plurality and the DNC overrides it, there will be RIOTS (it's happened before) and they WILL lose the general election because Dem voters will be discouraged. I haven’t, Ill look it up. I don’t doubt they’re really focused. My experience canvassing in Iowa last weekend was really good. There was only one employee, assisted by three other volunteers, handling a bus filled with ~40 volunteers to canvass in Keokuk and Fort Madison. Every volunteer received a list of houses to knock on, which apparently was determined by data from phone banks and previous caucus attendance/voter data. We were supposed to input data on some app. I think I got to speak to 2/3 of people on my list, and the conversations were decent for the most part. I got some people to commit to caucus and talked to a couple Yang and Warren supporters who could caucus for Bernie for the second choice round. (There were a lot of Buttigieg supporters on my list too lol). Overall I felt like they utilized everyone really well and I hope it was enough to make a difference. I wish I could go again. I imagine they’re going all in this weekend with the volunteers for canvassing and the Bernie Journeys from surrounding states. I hope the state is flooded with Bernie volunteers this weekend lol.
