It still feels like quite a lot of candidates for just a few programs...

Can't wait for the next campaign ending.

I thought he officially ended his campaign months ago. Like, I’m pretty sure I commented “would smash if I was drunk” or something stupid like that on that thread. :messga:

Edit: I was thinking about Tim Ryan. :ladyhaha:

This is a really interesting case study on presidential primary politics. This guy announced years ago and has spent more time than anybody in Iowa (including visiting every county). He was always a long-shot candidate but at least he was a "legitimate"/serious candidate (in the sense that he was a multi-term Member of Congress and was actively campaigning). I believe he hoped to have a strong showing in the first state and use that to jump-start a more national campaign heading into Super Tuesday. He really put all of his eggs in that one basket and was never able to get anywhere with it. I think the fact that he has no national name recognition really outweighed the time and resources spent in Iowa. You can't run a one-state presidential campaign.

Watch for Sen. Bennet to drop out next - he's been doing basically the same thing, but in New Hampshire, also with nothing to show for it in the polls.
