Honestly, as someone who supported Warren in early 2019, I overlooked how insanely pernicious some of her lies involving her heritage were (the cookbook stuff is RIDICULOUS, and OFFENSIVE PLAIGIARISM  ), and I'm ashamed that I let my favoritism for her cloud my judgment on this issue. I know that many people would have reacted differently if she had claimed she was black for example, and I entirely admit that I fell for this trap of thinking it "wasn't that bad" - it was problematic as hell. 

And her freaking cookbook is called Pow Wow Chow  and I don't think it's off the shelves either. This was in 2012. Not that long ago.
