Harris Walz 2024 1,451
It's not likely that she herself deleted the tweets. I just find it highly unlikely and not like her at all not be inclusive.

Bonkers 30,860
There's a difference between the mistake of a candidate and the mistake of someone on their campaign. Not that I would defend Elizabeth Warren - she's a proven liar who intentionally mischaracterizes things in order to imply things that are negative, hurtful and either not true, or not entirely true. PoshLife 17,019
@Morphine Prince I have a few questions for you. When ode said they supported Bernie Sanders' friend and colleague Elizabeth Warren, why did you react with the LMAO reaction instead of engaging with words? What, exactly, is funny about a Warren supporter encouraging other Warren supporters to volunteer their time for their candidate of choice? Why do all of the Bernie supporters on here laugh at their opponents? Why do all of the Bernie supporters on Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook do the same? Is it because they aren't capable of engaging in constructive dialogue, or because they believe people who disagree with them are worthy of mockery? Do you think Bernie Sanders feels that way, too? Thank you in advance for your responses.

She is, in fact, not proven to have lied about anything. As a reminder, her ill-advised DNA test did not prove that she was lying about having Native American ancestry. And as an additional reminder, we still do not know what Bernie Sanders did or didn't say at their 2018 meeting. So it's impossible to know whether she lied about that. Perhaps when you said "liar," you meant to say "person I simply don't like." And those aren't the same thing, ya know?

As a reminder, her ill-advised DNA test did not prove that she was lying about having Native American ancestry. What is this Elizabeth Warren is not a woman of color, and she is not Native American. Having an ancestor that was Native American does not make you one. Hearing stories about that ancestor does not give you the right to claim an identity that is not yours to claim, let alone to claim it in your professional career. She says it was "just a claim of ancestry, not culture", but she still claimed and owned that identity as her own for decades of her professional life. She is not a registered member of any tribe and had no cultural proximity to one, which is essential to claim being a Native American. (The test wasn't able to show any specific tribal connection, just that she very likely had a Native American ancestor at some point, perhaps very very far removed ) I don't fault her for believing the stories she grew up hearing that may have influenced her, but it was morally suspect at the very least to take this into her professional career the way she did - being touted as Harvard's "first woman of color law professor" while having an entirely white proximal and immediate family and no actual proof of any Native American heritage beyond vague stories is not enough to justify this. She should have taken advantage of that time to profusely apologize, and acknowledge that her personal testimony about being Native American because of what her parents told her was just that, and that it was wrong to claim to be one throughout her career, but instead she doubled down to try to score a "gotcha!" on Trump that backfired as he never even paid the $1 million to charity. Honestly, as someone who supported Warren in early 2019, I overlooked how insanely pernicious some of her lies involving her heritage were (the cookbook stuff is RIDICULOUS, and OFFENSIVE PLAIGIARISM ), and I'm ashamed that I let my favoritism for her cloud my judgment on this issue. I know that many people would have reacted differently if she had claimed she was black for example, and I entirely admit that I fell for this trap of thinking it "wasn't that bad" - it was problematic as hell. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
