I like that she tried give bit country twang flav for bridge.

Actually love the house intro.

The pre chorus love it more now. At first didnt stood out. Like woud stand out with some like reverb or echo and some glitcht synth very spacy and dreamy, maybe.

The whole verse is very visual, i imagined her going on the streets with heavy make up barbied up, but very clumsy. And she passes by her girl friends. Like anitta in west story but with typical 80s garment and ny set up.

So i like the begining

Verses don't tend to repeat like a pre-chorus does. It's almost as if the "freak, freak out" verse is actually Prechorus 1. I love this different structure

I had a hard time to classify it because of this. :poot: It's part of the verse but at the same time has a distinct melody and creates tension the same way a pre-chorus does. On genius they classified as ''refrain'' but that's synonym for chorus so it doesn't really make sense.

It is correct this way.

Usually a verse is divided in two moments

The second part is a development of the same. All i ever wanted is a new section

Isn't refrain a term for the final chorus, where its starts to fade out???

"All I ever wanted was love" makes me emotional, but strangely also feeling carefree :diane: . But tbh, the whole song does that for me :tony: .

Ew, David!

I have no idea. :poot: I think refrain is just an alternative name to chorus but not specifically its last part as far as I know.
