I think you need to hear the song all together. It seems like a song that builds momentum. I had the EXACT same underwhelmed response to Venus as I have had to SL when I heard Venus's snippets. I love Venus now

im not saying theyre not good or enjoyable, but AS ALBUM SONGS. Heavy metal lovers would have flopped hard if it had been released 
 

And literally half of those songs are not good anyway. John Wayne? I have to laugh  who listens to this song still
