I actually completely agree with you - I think people that do that are nuts and have way too much time on their hands. I'm being PEAK sarcastic here and making a jab at Justin and his fans! That's my sense of humor. I work 50 hours a week and have an active social life - there's no way in hell I'm gonna spend a week of my life devoted to making thousands of streams for any artist. I'm not going to go crazy though and buy a bunch of copies because there is no point to that - I only did that for Shallow because it was so close to #1, to the point it likely made a real difference that we were all collectively giving it that extra push in sales. I think a lot of these things are low key rigged in some way (like playlisting on streaming, radio loving songs even though the streams and sales are lackluster, inexplicable youtube views on songs that no1curr about etc.). Sometimes songs will come along and truly reasonate like Old Town Road, but a lot of these songs and artitsts get a push behind the scenes IMO. It's a lot of politicking. If fans want to BTS it and give their fave a tiny boost on their own time because they're passionate than I see nothing wrong with it. It can't be worse and less honest than radio & streaming payola.
