This is... just wrong :saladga:

He's hated because he's a pathological liar, a narcissist, a racist, a sexist, and a xenophobe who disparages his own countrymen (including the military + Vets), turns white people against minorities for political power, and threatens our own national security + global security because he's incompetent :deadbanana:

Openly admitting to war crimes is not a "breath of fresh air" - doing them under false pretenses is how America has carried out many foreign policy blunders in the past and will likely continue in the future if someone like Joe/Amy/Pete were to become president. To this day, most people still don't know **** about foreign policy let alone care about it sans literal American war, even though Trump is brazen with it, so the problem isn't whether its out in the open or not.

You know I hate Trump, but I hate when people act like they are outraged and shocked by Trump and his lies. This is not specifically a Trump problem, its a bigger problem and Trump is just a symptom. Yes criticize Trump, but also criticize the whole system that got you Trump.

When I said hes hated because he puts an ugly face to government crimes, I did not mean hated by the people. I meant hes hated by the government, intelligence committee, CIA, military industrial complex, and more because he puts an ugly face to them. Unlike Obama who puts a charismatic good face to these crimes which people turn a blind eye to and he knows how to lie about it. Trump unintentionally shows people the truth about their own government.

The political establishment only hate Trump because he doesn’t ask permission before he bombs other countries or kills military leaders. They don’t like that he has shown American people openly what we do to other countries. They don’t care that he DID those things, they just don’t want him tweeting about it. They also would prefer if he asked for permission first.

Meanwhile, normal people hate him because of his lies, racism, etc etc

Some individuals in the intelligence committee, sure, he definitely undermines them at every turn, but there are other people that are very loyal to him there... Also, the military industrial complex benefits from having him President quite blatantly, so I don't buy that one. They may pretend to hate him because it looks good, but they are ultimately just as well off under Republicans and Democrats if not better under Trump since Trump can do w.e he wants w.o scrutiny from his party + he has propaganda networks like FOX on his side. Democratic rage is directed at "Trump" the individual, and not the system, so this fakeness never comes through to the people, which is what matters. He can't be putting an "ugly face to them" if no one sees it...

Like, neoliberalism and neoconservatism are alive and well and show very little signs of slowing down or fading away under Trump. Take this website alone :green: Plenty of Trump outrage, but still just as much hiding and protecting of Democrats like Obama, Biden, Hillary, etc. who are complicit in some of the things Trump has done as well

Those people are genuinely outraged, shocked, etc. at how much he has a visceral disdain for Democracy.  Even 3 years in, because that has to be the narrative. It's a mixture of "don't let abnormal things be perceived as normal" from social justice types and media pundits feigning outrage at all hours of the day everyday, which imo prolly just leads to more apathy.

And very few people seem to want to admit that Trump was not *just* lightning in a bottle, but that there are serious political, moral, cultural, and economic reasons why he was able to win, let alone that someone else more competent than he is could win with the same playbook in the future if we don't dismantle it. (Hell, getting people to admit that Hillary lost for reasons beyond "Russia", "Bernie" (lol), or if they have any semblance of fairness, "Refusing to campaign in key Rustbelt states" is pulling teeth I swear :deadbanana: )

My issue is people only oppose crimes and immoral things when its Trump, and they act like they are shocked and outraged.

They are anti Trump wars, but they are not anti wars. They oppose Trumps islamophobia, but not all islamophobia. They dont care when these crimes are done by their own political party, they either defend these crimes, or turn a blind eye. This to me shows that people dont care about the actual issues, they just use minorities and moral issues as a weapon against the other political party to gain political power.

Well look we agree :green:

You're describing Neoliberalism, the disease, to a T.

I would argue that many people are just ignorant and don't know about things like foreign policy, corruption, income inequality, etc. but TBH on at least corruption you've gotta be living a fantasy life to not be aware of it, like, if working class poor people who don't pay attention to politics can know it, then all of us liberals can just use google once in a while :emma:  That's the real privilege IMO, if I can be a bit cynical. It's not poor people of color not voting, its being able to plug your ears and pretend everything is fine under Democrats in charge while people die, starve, live on the streets, go bankrupt, kill themselves, and are killed by the thousands in foreign countries for no damn good reason.

The ONLY thing I will thank Trump for is increasing the number of people who are just now starting to care about things and notice the discrepancies. Now if only Media would do its damn job and stop being so bought and sold all the time :deadbanana:

Then again, that's one of the joys of capitalism! We love a profit motive destroying Democracy.

I remember in the early 2000's I wanted all the truth out to the American people. I believed if they know the truth, they will oppose it. Today, the truth is everywhere you cant escape it, but people make excuses all the time. The majority of Americans even ones not educated on politics or foreign affairs know its all a lie, they might not know how to explain it but they know it. The biggest government in the world will manipulate you to keep the system going and it works.

Democrats and Liberals claim to be the most woke on these issues, yet they focus all their energy on weird things like Celebrities appropriating Arab Islamic culture! Its more about gaining woke points than actual helping Muslims. They feel entitled to help us on things we are not suffering from its hilarious!

Im criticizing human beings everywhere, not the American people.
