OHMYGOD. I changed my profile pic to Liza and then I read this and you mention Liza!

No, I'm 20 but I have the music taste of someone 70 years older haha.

Oh, I adore Edith Piaf! When gaga used her in one of the Monstervisions and when the FAME launch opended up with her on the couch and Milord starting playing..I thought I was going to have aneurysm.

Can you imagine a Liza/Gaga collab? Or her singing any Judy song (not even gonna explain my lifelong obbsession with her omg) Her voice would suit The Man That Got Away so perfectly. She has a strong theatrical voice that neeeds to be showcased more often.

Hi!

Wow, as also a huge Liza/Judy/Piaf fan - - so much to add...

First, yes Liza does really like and respect Gaga, but I highly doubt any kind of a duet between them. I saw Liza as recently as last year and her voice has pretty much had it. If she were to perform with Gaga, Gaga would blow her away and it wouldnt' be fair to Liza. And BTW Liza's voice is shot from decades of smoking - so, take note Gaga!!!

Also - for the record, Liza just really DOES NOT LIKE when *Anyone* sings any of Judy's classics. She feuded for years with her sister Lorna when she recorded some of Judy's songs. Liza feels they should remain as Judy sang them and not be repeated. Can't say I blame her.

And finally - if you like Piaf then you MUST check out a singer who sounds very much like her. Her name is Jane Olivor. She doesn't perform much any more, but when she started out, she was untouchable. Better than Streisand imo but she just never wanted the fame.

Anyway, thanks for the Liza pic - I did a double take!

Yess!! People who said "no" on here obviously don't know what a great jazz singer she is or they don't have a good taste in music, because they dislike Jazz :nacho:

I can't stand jazz, so I'm not excited. I really love some jazz elements when used in other genres of music, but not complete jazz music as a standalone. Good for her, though, if she loves it. It will be a nice add to her discography, add some variation to it.
