At London Fashion Week 2012, Gaga opened the Philip Treacy show wearing Isabella Blows hot pink Undercover burqa and custom Pleasers:

before the show she wore a Alexander McQueen dress and Philip Treacy flower helmet

she left the venue wearing Mickey Mouse ears (by Philip Treacy):

she later returned to her hotel wearing another form of a burqa and her custom Pleasers (again):

it was debuted with a menswear collection

A burqa is the most modest covering there it and yet this is see thru

And then all the male models were wearing it on the runway - so crossdressing but they were all mostly worn over suits so not entirely crossdressing

A huge conundrum of female/male modest/immodest discussion of a piece

There is another pink burqa with an all over green print.

(It’s funny how these images are so “revered” now by fans. When it happened, it was WTF? and a lot of fans didn’t really care for these looks. She also went silent for months after.)
