I never understand what people want them to do... the awards are chosen by over 1000 voters. These are what 1000 people thought were the best, and it just so happens they are mostly male.

Even many award shows have addressed that it's an issue that their membership is often overwhelmingly white men and that this is one of the reasons women and POC's are often excluded when nominations are announced.

Genuinely confused as to why Little Mix aren't nominated for Best Group.

Even Bounce Back has sold more than every other band nominated.

I thought she was American cause I never heard her speaking voice or dug deep into her discography :flop: I do know she's partially Greek tho cause I had a Greek friend who gushed about it 12 times a day but that's about it :flop:

This is why I'm so against mixed categories for entertainment awards. The BRITS have done this for years and that's why they've always been male dominated. If you make it mixed, men will always dominate unless it's a super female friendly year, like 2010. If you have mixed awards, get used to nominations like this across the board. The odds are stacked against women from the get go.

POC's are not often excluded. They make up roughly 50% of the nominations this year and basically every year before that. Being a POC will actually mean you have a higher chance of getting nominated as awards committees want to look diverse (whether it's genuine love for them or not is hard to say as the critics love them just as much). It's women who are the most excluded except from female specific awards of course. It's always women who struggle to be taken the most seriously in the industry, of any race.

Now I'm two times the dumbass I was before :bradley:

Wales is a country situated on the island of Great Britain, so it is factually accurate to call her 'British'
