Will LG6 Out-Debut Joanne and ARTPOP?

Do you think following the success of A Star is Born and the fact that Gaga has upped her streaming impact result in a better debut for LG6? 

Gaga's "Spotify Monthly Listeners" was at 12 Million during the release of Joanne. It's at 31 Million now. Peaked at 41 Million in the peak of the ASIB hype. (During Joanne she peaked at 186th Streamed Artist in the World, during ASIB she peaked at 14th Streamed Artist in the World.)

I hope the good sis does. I don't think ASIB can be outmatched by a Gaga album though. ASIB transcends just pop music fans. It reached the regular listener who probably never really listen much to pop songs because they just got the song from the movie and the countless bar/club goers belting out the chorus when this song was played.

But do you think any of that rubs off well for Gaga's next solo release at all? Or does ASIB have no impact at all on Gaga's "hype factor"?

I'm thinking around 400k  she still has pure sales on her side and better streaming, but most of ha streaming is global iirc so won't have massive streams in US

We can only wait and see how it will turn out. We hope the GP will still be curious about the new Gaga music after ASIB.

400K to 500K seems realistic

 

If she released at the prime of her hype I would have said upwards of 700K but given the eternity it's taking for LG6 to be released and the fading hype, we have to re-adjust our expectations

If she really does release in February, March, or April, she could probably become the first artist of the 2020s to achieve a Platinum record.

I just mean in terms of "debuts", none of those artists have ever stepped into the 1M+ sales category. 

And NO I dont count ANTI because Samsung bought like 600k of those copies and somehow that counted. Lol. 

All of those artists are iconic but if we are talking DEBUTS they are not in the class of Adele, Gaga, Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Eminem, and Taylor  who have debuted Platinum in a single week. 

Those are the only 6 to have a U.S. Platinum First Week in the Digital Era (2006-).

I do think she'll have moderate to big numbers because of the combination of her Spotify follower number having increased + a lot more people use streaming services compared to 2016 and they are inclined to check out big name releases out of curiosity + she garnered a lot more fans after ASIB.

200k - 300k is the most realistic. Considering she gained streaming power as of recent and still is a pure sales force she will easily surpass 200k
