Most...do? I, along with others, have called people out for being way too harsh before towards other artists. There's a difference between petty gossip or bitching, and cruelty, and most of us are aware of that line. Also, you're acting like little monsters are unique—stan culture is often toxic and many stan groups act the same.

Some people will flip out at you for saying this, but I get what you mean. There's a difference between criticism, or even some b*tchy comments (and frankly, I think a lot of the criticism is unwarranted and this is coming from someone who has dragged Gaga before for more legitimate things like R. Kelly), and the over the top vitriol "some" fans unleash on her.

The biggest issues are fans who start sh* t that they know can go viral on twitter, or who tweet nasty things directly at her. And you know she blocks most of that sh*t out (she has more important things going on) but some of it gets through–the comments about loving Vegas, and it not being a "sell out" thing, along with the whole dumb Brian thing  Bobby had to address in People Magazine.

Anyway, Gaga seem strong yet still somewhat fragile and I just wish some fans were more aware of that....

I mean, you say it yourself: "I, too, deal with the aftermath of trauma and have family members that battle fibromyalgia and psychosis" Why don't you deserve the same star treatment as Lady Gaga?

We should all be kind to the people in our immediate surroundings and help them and support them however we can. But we're talking about an escapist online forum dedicated to a total stranger. Why should we watch our behavior here and not offline in the real world?

This is a discussion forum. This is literally the place to sit down and discuss what we think of her career. Don't take that away from us just because you think Gaga might get hurt reading what we say. She should know we're just spouting bs to waste our time here as most people do on the internet, including her.

Y'all are giving me a headache throwing every criticism of her onto one huge heap and complaining about it Saying Enigma is a bad show is not dragging her whole entire person and denying she's in chronic pain or whatever omg. It's just a concrete statement/opinion. If you can't handle that then maybe this isn't the place for you.

I love how you always hop on threads and twist everyone's words to fit your narrative, because of course we're encouraging empathy only towards Gaga and nobody else, right? You literally do this everytime, it's exhausting.

You hide behind supposed logic and moral high ground and continuously and intentionally misinterpret people's intentions and it's clear that not a single person here can make you see that.

I certainly do live a sad life but extending empathy to people who I do not know but have brought me comfort in hard times as well as to those in my life and around me is not the reason why.

That's not a misinterpretation, that's just the only possible interpretation there is. Talk about hiding behind supposed logic and moral high ground I'm just explaining why I don't think we should drop our criticism, because this is a discussion forum and simply posting opinions about this and that project, product, or whatever, isn't a crime and it shouldn't even be linked to something like empathy or "caring" about an artist. It's just an opinion ffs.

I don't even think my opinions are valuable I've said this a million times here. Opinions are just like assholes. Everyone has them and no one should care. My opinion isn't more valid than anyone else's, that's exactly why I can't stand these "ok guys let's stop posting negative things!!!" threads. Your "point" was that I should be more empathic. I'm saying: sure, but why towards a total stranger slash millionaire who has her own support system and will never ever benefit from me showing empathy towards her when I can inject all that loving, kind energy towards the people I do know?

Still waiting on an answer This is a discussion forum. If opinions are presented respectfully (I don't pretend I always do that, but I can also easily point out over a thousand instances where people who are the ultimate Gaga fans take great pleasure in downright trashing people who don't think their way) I don't get the problem.
