That's... No "Well, war is war" is not a justification for unnecessary escalation on anyone's part, especially not ours since we caused most of these wars we've been in... nor is it a justification for assassinating a major general of a state. If Mike Pompeo was assassinated, how do you think America would act? We are not meant to be the world's police. If we play into this "well, he was a bad man" rhetoric as an excuse, it justifies us killing (Assassinating) anyone who we see as a "bad man" in order to serve our own interests, and that's chaos and global destabilization in a bottle. We'll say "well, he killed some Americans one time" or "Well, he was planning on X!" and we'll never know if that's true or not - but knowing our intelligence community, it probably won't be. It is good that there is more attention being given to this, American Democrats and Republicans have both been pro-war parties for decades and we need to call out everyone involved in that political machine, so its important that people see just how shitty our elected officials are on this and voice their opposition. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

Its most likely the people from the middle east that will suffer again. There will be no world war since Iran is not a global power (far from it) and Russia and China will not go on a full scale war for this Russia will not because Russia is guiding Trump through this. Someone actually crunched the numbers. Trump said we just spent 2 TRILLION on new military equipment and other military expenses. For that money, we could have paid off everyone's student debt, housed every homeless person, kept those 700,000 people on snap benefits, gave free insulin to every diabetic, paid for every kid to go to pre-k, and paid for every adult to go to a four year college. All with a couple hundred billion left over. Don't ever let them tell you we can't afford these things. We just simply decide not to do it. It was an unprovoked attack and clearly a move by Trump to create distracting headlines. While this is going on, McConnel says he has enough GOP support in the senate to call Trump's impeachment trial and quietly kill it while the dust settles over Iran. That's all this is. So hopefully, a year from now when Trump is leaving office, the president we elect this year will get us all back on the same page. TheQueenEnthusiast 937
The reason why Iran is not a good place to live is NOT because it's the country itself. Iran is extremely rich. A quick google search can tell you "Iran holds 10% of the world's proven oil reserves and 15% of its gas. It is OPEC's second largest exporter and the world's fourth largest oil producer." Iran had/has sanctions on it. Sanctions DEVASTATE a countries economy. Especially when it's a country like Iran where everyone has a *reason* to hate you. Iranian relations with the US soured after the Iranian Revolution of 1979. If you were to look at pictures before 1979 women could not wear their hijabs, they wore make up, and it looked like any other western nation. Little do people now know that the entire population resented this to the point where they overthrew the western-backed government (which the US implemented to begin with). They were fine with a theocracy, not a puppet state. Not only that but the Shah had a secret police force similar to that of the KGB that did his bidding and killed political rivals. The rhetoric that Iran needs to be liberated lies entirely on a fallacy. They liberated themselves 40 years. Most people who actually protested and spearheaded the revolution were women. After the revolution they swore off American ties. With this came a plethora of problems. The sociopolitical consensus of any nation-state in the our contemporary world knows "if you stab the US, it will stab back MUCH worse". With that being said, the US made European countries do the same. I don't mean to sound like an American, but for the most part if the US wants EU countries to not do something it pretty much won't *since the 1950s* The Shi'a and Sunni split isn't that big until recently. For most of islamic history the split didn't even matter. People think it was a violent split but it's *not*. The only reason why tensions were created in the first place is because Iran empowers Shi'a rebel groups or governments and Saudi Arabia and some of the gulf states do the opposite empowering Suuni rebel groups or governments to fight with opposing groups. You see this in Iraq, in Syria, in Yemen, etc. S.A and Iran have been a Cold War lite for some years now. They fight each other via proxies. It just happens to be the religious split is the current channel that the countries are using to bolster militant groups *probably the notions surrounding human tribalism*. For this reason Saudi Arabia and the other Sunni majority countries don't really like Iran. Iran just isn't liked by anyone because of what they did for themselves. I'm not painting anyone the good guy here, but if a country wants to liberate itself from a puppet state implemented by a foreign government who are we to question their liberation and white-wash it with western notions of what it means to be 'liberated'? Yes in this situation more than most America is bad. Iran is acting in self-defense and trying to save face from their people. History is not kind to governments of small countries who allow themselves to be trampled by other sovereign nations What is happening is that we are acting as the world's police out of our own arrogance and power lust, and then we are getting shocked that people dare raise a finger at us Iran as a country is not just a group of big bad (brown) terrorists that hate America. There are almost 100 million people in Iran. They have their own culture, their own history, and much of the anti-American sentiment that has been fostered there didn't come out of nowhere, it came out of us engaging in regime change and proxy wars and us committing terrible violence against them economically, militarily, and politically for decades. It's a natural response, and one of the many cited reasons why people like Bernie and others were against invading Iraq (back into the 1950s there was resistance to regime change in the Middle East as well) 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
